What is MACU?
MACU stands for Mobile Adult Changing Table. Purchased with Arpa Grant Funding, the Mobile Adult Changing Unit is a specialized 24-foot trailer with changing and toileting facilities to meet the needs of those with mobility disabilities or who require additional changing and toileting assistance. It can be hooked directly to electricity and water, or run with a generator when appropriate space and ventilation are available. Contact Carlisa Parker at cparker@clarkdd.org to inquire about reserving the MACU for your event. The MACU includes:
- Power Hoist/Hoyer Lift for safe transfers
- Height Adjustable Universal Changing Table
- Handheld Shower Head
- ADA Toilet with Handlebars
- Height Appropriate Sink
- HVAC (Air Conditioning / Heat)
